The sun and moon of heaven and earth, the beautiful sound of the world's path
After three years of design, two years of construction
Top Grade 40-years-old Japanese Paulownia Wood
Japanese Paulownia Wood thrives in cold regions and grows slower compared to trees in Southeast Asia. As a result, the annual rings of Japanese Paulownia Wood are denser. When used in making guzheng, it produces distinct and mellow tones, which is a unique advantage of each Xuan Guang GuZheng.
The wood grain of Paulownia Wood injects soul into each Xuan Guang GuZheng. The patterns witness the growth of trees as years go by, making the texture more unique with age. This gives each Xuan Guang Guzheng a one-of-a-kind life.
Choosing top-grade 40-year-old Japanese Paulownia Wood is a high-end configuration for Xuan Guang GuZheng. Due to the slow growth in cold regions, Paulownia Wood needs to mature for at least 40 years before it can be used for guzheng making.
The top-grade 40-year-old Japanese Paulownia Wood is located on the outermost part of the body. After years of natural washing, it carries the traces of time. It is also the densest and most delicate part of the body. The natural water wave patterns and mountainous patterns enhance the transparency and delicacy of the zither sound, stirring the heart.
Headstock Design
With a brand new, unique headstock patent design, the precise angles are calculated using curved guzheng feet. While exuding a sense of modern fashion, the instrument remains steadfast and secure during performances.
The guzheng lid retains the unique suspended and lift-off design, making new improvements to the original design.
The angle of the guzheng lid suspension has been increased, resulting in significant advancements in the sound and usability of the guzheng.
The Paint Adopts
First use of pearl black nano baking paint, which complements the pearl white color, with a high-end, delicate, and fashionable color.
With its new streamlined body design and perfectly balanced pearlescent sheen, it creates an atmosphere of simplistic elegance, elevating the quality and imaginative space of the Guzheng art piece.
ZhengHead Mountain is crafted using a single piece of Indian rosewood, with the arc adjusted by craftsmen and carefully fitted into the mortise, elevating the conduction of the guzheng sound.
The Zheng Head box uses the traditional Japanese Hakone marquetry technique. After creating geometric patterns using all-natural wood, the wood is then cut into "seed boards" and inlaid into the box of the headstock. Hakone marquetry has been passed down in the Hakone region since the Edo period. In 1984, it was designated as a traditional Japanese woodworking craft by the Japanese authorities. Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer people who understand this technique, making each piece that incorporates Hakone marquetry more precious.
Specially selected rosewood is used as the raw material, and each Xuan Guang Bridge is carefully handmade. Based on the density and curvature of each part of the body, experienced craftsmen customize each one. The natural wood grain presents an uninterrupted landscape of mountains, rivers, and valleys on the entire set of Xuan Guang Bridge, hence the name "Yiluan".
String holes
Made of 18K pure silver, creating a regal sound that is magnificently harmonious and exquisite.
combines exquisite craftsmanship with a unique design and high-quality wood, creating a perfect fusion with the body of the instrument. It features a distinctive curved design at the tail, exclusively crafted by Xuan Guang, which presents the sound in a perfect manner. This exceptional contemporary artwork is showcased on the surface of the guzheng.
As a horizontally played instrument, the importance of the design of the front of the Guzheng is often overlooked by the public. The shimmer brings a new definition to the front of the Guzheng, presenting a reinterpreted form with its curved streamline design and unique pearl lacquer finishing.
The interior of the body is carved in a triangular pattern, a design meticulously calculated and crafted. It is important to note that the interior of the body is not flat, but rather curved. In this case, handling the triangle carving not only takes into account the resonance of the body, but also considers the transmission of sound during playing, striving to give the sound more depth. The lingering resonance of the guzheng with the triangle carving structure is longer and more delicate compared to the pure straight grain design, encompassing its surroundings.
